that's good news Our Mao - it's funny we have a lot of Canadians in this thread, we'll have to help each other out :)NVC received your file super fast! I wonder how long until the Choice of Agent & AOS fee bill...I can't remember where I read, but I had the impression that they only generate forms to send out Mondays... it just seems wrong to me, oh well, I'll just keep calling!

Ok then...I have no idea when the NVC received the visa petition file, but a call today to NVC revealed that the K3 was sent on its way to London Consulate on December 13th from the NVC and a visa number was obviously assigned to it first. Perhaps because Vermont is a touchdown pass away from New Hampshire?

Our I-130 was forwarded to NVC and they have received it on December 12. They have also gave us case number. It starts with CDJ- I guess that means Croatia. Is there any way I can find out does CDJ really stands for Croatia? (this is kind a problem form me-in my country I cannot get immigrant visa, so I assume they will send it to Croatia)

And, unfortunatlly, nothing new with K-3.... Hope to be soon, I find all this things at NVC for I-130 really complicated and very, very slow....

Hi Riblet,

Yes, there are quite a few Canadians on this thread..and yes we'll definitely help each other out! From the recording from the NVC line, we have to wait 6 - 8 weeks before we get the choice of agent and the IV bill. I guess once you get it, then you can email them with your choice of agent and send in the fee bill. Meanwhile, you can start filling in forms and gathering infomation from James' shortcuts, etc etc.

So I'll post to let everyone know if they've sent us the package. Since we all got approved around the same time, I'd 'assume' we will get processed around the same time too!

And yes you are right, according to James' shortcuts, they generate forms at the end of Monday so we should call on Tuesday morning to see if they generated anything!

My hubby is coming to see me next week.. so excited! hahaha

30 Aug 06 - check cleared & 1ST TOUCH.

01 Sept 06 - NOA1 recvd by Mail

09 Sept 06 - 2ND TOUCH (a Saturday)

09 Mai 07 - NOA2 (2 e-mails)

Note: were told the long delay due to huge backlog and internal changes in VT

NVC :

04-June-07 - NVC generates DS-3032 & AOS bill

12-June-07 - AOS Bill payment sent/ alien receives DS-3032 form (by mail, dated 4th June)

13-June-07 - Alien sends back completed DS-3032 (by mail)/ rcvd 19th of June approx.

To mid July-07 - I-864 form sent completed and IV fee bill

It shouldn't apply to you knowledge :) Just to people who have also filed for K3.

Basically, it looks like if you have an approved I129F and then your I130 gets approved, they are going to hold your approved I130 and not send it to the NVC because they assume you will enter the U.S. on the K3 and adjust status rather than having the CR/IR1 processed at the consulate. If you want them to send it on to NVC after they retain it you have to file a I824 and pay $200. It's still not a 100% clear if just filing for K3 is enough, or if the K3 has to be approved.

Good luck with the rest of everything :) I hope you get an approval very soon - when you do, check in on the Montreal Timeline to Interveiw thread if you haven't already!

ACTION:

added bosnia NVC receipt date, "Forward" for me :) Finally received my NOA2.

Bosnia - I would call NVC and choose the option to speak to an operator if I was you. I googled but was unable to find a list of consulate codes. I know I've often seen CDJ as an abbreviation for Ciudad Juarez, but hopefully that's just a coincidence.
