i 864 form filling

I have filled i130, I am a student and works part time as well. My income is not sufficent to sponsor my husband however, my brother is willing to file i864 as a joint sponsor. He has also filled i130 for his wife and will also file i864 for his wife as well. My brother's income is sufficent to sponsor my husband and his wife as well.

I am confused about filling i864 form. As I am a part time worker, I do require to file i864 form and my brother will be filling i864 form as well but as a joint sponser, correct? Would appreciate if someone would clarify that for me.

Thanks for your reply. I was wondering since I haven't got the approval yet (i130) and I am in the process of visting my husband, and meanwhile if his approval arrives while I am abroad. Can I send my i864 forms from outside the U.S., or do I have to be physically present in the U.S.? I am planning everything in advance, paper work and stuff or can my family (in the U.S.) mail paper from my behalf ?

you really don't need the hard copy of your noa2 for anything on the next stages..

go to the nvc filers thread for the current month to check your next needs and recent changes in the nvc processing

an approval for 130.. who knows how long.. too many variables right now.. could be several months more

then averaging 6 weeks until nvc has a case number for you

timelines help with better answers aye??
