Hi, We just received the package 3 from the Consulate in Naples, so I need to translate the two police certificates and the birth certificate from Italian to English. Can anyone suggest the easiest and cheapest way to get a translation certified by a competent traslator and sworn to before a Notary Public ? I saw on the Consulate website a list of translators, in addition to the translation fee (per page or word) they talk about 45 Euro per page for the certification. Does anyone have more information about that? I live in Naples, any suggestion for a translator in this area would be really helpfull!

Do the instructions say that the police certificates have to be translated? When I applied for my K1 I didn't have mine translated - the Consulate accepted documents in both English and Italian.

I translated the documents myself and took them to a Notary Public. We didn't have any issues but maybe it's becuase like a+j mentioned above, the consulate accepts both Italian and English documents.

I used the site rev.com and they did an excellent job - fast too! My docs were done same day! Anyway, I'd recommend them for translating docs in a heartbeat. Hope that helps!

Hi my husband did not need to translate his Italian PCC because the Consulate had people who spoke both English and Italian, I was told that by the NVC when I had asked this question before. Hope that helps and best of luck.

The instructions state that you do not need to have the documents translated for Naples. Italian or English will do just fine!

I know because we're at the same step in the process. We completed our Packet 3 and are just waiting for Naples to receive our case from NVC!

Hi. I did not translate my documents. As long as they're in Italian or English, you do not need to translate them.

I have a question about the Packet 3. I contacted the Embassy via email and they confirmed that they have received our case. They also attached a zip file with all of the Packet 3 documents and requirements. I asked if they would physically mail Packet 3 and they said no, just email. (I assumed they would mail it from reading all of the reviews). In the Packet 3, it only says the beneficiary needs to email the Applicant's Statement (which is only a paper that he signs his name). All of the supplemental documents are to be presented at the interview. Is this true? Do we just wait for the interview to hand in all physical documents?

Yep, that's the way it goes, as far as I understand it. All you have to do is either fax/email the statement, and then bring everything else with you the day of the interview.

Was Packet 3 the same one they have online?

I just got my NOA2 last night, and I'm trying to get ready for the interview, hopefully ASAP!
