I have a few questions for Marilyn's POE/travel to the US.

What do we need for POE?

Do we need any of our papers from the interview process?

I know she will bring the sealed envelope, but do we need anything else?

What will they ask at the interview at POE?

Can she fly into LA and I pick her up there (LA) then drive back to Las Vegas?

Am I missing anything? Should be easy as pie, right? smile.png

Thanks

Sealed envelope, passport with visa and CFO stamp, and a smile. dancin5hr.gif

Questions vary, but are truly simplistic. It's not an interview, more of a welcome to the USA, and usually a reminder to get married within 90 days or to go home.

Pick up in LA and drive to Vegas will work just fine.

Thanks you! She is running out of room in her suitcases and don't want to carry an extra 4lbs of paper work, hehe dancin5hr.gif

Yes, the DS-3025 (vaccine worksheet) as well. With it, you might be able to file for AOS without having to get an I-693 from a civil surgeon, depending on how it's filled out.

I have a few questions for Marilyn's POE/travel to the US.

What do we need for POE?

-Visa packet, Medical Exam CD(in case they will look for it), passport with valid K1 visa in it and CFO sticker

Do we need any of our papers from the interview process?

I know she will bring the sealed envelope, but do we need anything else?

-none

What will they ask at the interview at POE?

-based in my exp, the officer asked my name, date of birth, petitioner's name, when will be the wedding, what is our plan after the wedding (which is to file for AOS), the officer will also take her biometrics and picture taking. the officer might also ask her what she brought with her (like food,etc..)

Can she fly into LA and I pick her up there (LA) then drive back to Las Vegas?

- yes

Am I missing anything? Should be easy as pie, right? smile.png

-once Marilyn is at her POE, she has to look for the line for first time immigrants

-impt docs must be in her carry-on so that it will be easier to access the docs in case the officer will ask for something else aside from those above

-and have a safe flight! :)

Thanks

If possible she can get a really beautiful wedding dress in the PH at a great price. My wife did that. Also buy a phone card and email her the information on it including the pin # so that if she need to call you at POE she can use a pay phone.

+1 We did that too, forgot about it. That way she could at least call from a payphone while waiting.

Got a fly date yet?

She just flew to Manila today. We/her are just going to wait there until our visa is ready at 2GO MOA, hoping it wont be a long wait. I have my travel agent holding a ticket for me with the understanding that it might change everyday, hehe. Marilyn will fly from Manila to LA and I will drive from Vegas to pick her up. I wanted to make it easy as possible for her without to many layovers and transfers.

Please 2GO....by the end of the week please! dancin5hr.gif
