Hello,

Just a few questions!

1. I remember reading something about sending a sealed envelope that my fiance isn't supposed to open, do they mean to send my i-134 evidence in a sealed packet and tell him not to open it?

2. For our supporting evidence of a relationship do they want only originals of the letters and things he sent me, or am I allowed to make copies?

3. If I am not allowed to make copies, will they give my fiance the evidence back (I don't want to lose his handwritten letters forever!)

4. I have not seen him since he was here, because I was unable to get off for work to go on a vacation. Therefore, he and I have no new pictures of us together. Should I explain in a cover letter why we don't have photos together other than my original i-129F photos i already submitted and were approved?

The sealed evidence is given to the fiancee when the visa is approved, your fiancee takes that to the POE (point of entry) in the US and gives the package to the Interviewing officer. The I-134 does not have to be sealed.

London is a very lenient embassy. You will not need further evidence of your relationship. They do not ask for any of that at interview. They are more interested in the other documentation you are asked to bring e.g. to support the I-134, birth cert, divorce papers.

However, I took our scrapbooks just so that I felt more confident. It was useful when the interviewer asked how he proposed - I pulled out the relevant scrapbook and showed her how!

The sealed envelope will be sent by courier after your fiance is approved. It will be sent together with his passport which will have the K1 visa pasted on one of the pages. The sealed envelope must be carried in the carry-on baggage and handed over to the CBP at the POE for them to open.

To add support to what Anna said--

1) If you don't want your fiancé to see you I-134, you could seal it up so only the embassy sees it. But I believe the seal envelope you mean is the file that come after approval that is turned at POE.

2) Zero, none, nada needed for London.

3) Anything he wants back at the end of the interview, like birth certificate or other original documents, should have a photocopy with them for London to keep.

4) Do not explain in a cover letter. They don't care and don't want to see recent photos anyway.
