Hello all,

Can the Petitioner 'ME' pay Visa fee's, set Med and Embassy appointments all online and scan and email all docs related to the appointments to my Fiance? I will be fed-ex the entire copy of i-129f along with I-134 with supporting docs. I think my Fiance can then complete the DS-156, DS-157, DS-156K, DS-230 and print out.

I want to help as much as possible.

Thanks.

The petitioner can not pay the visit fee, it has to be paid in the Philippines in Pesos (there are options for how your fiancée can pay). The medical is a first come first served, best you can do to speed things up there is preregister. As for the interview appointment, I did schedule the appointment for my wife (fiancée at the time).

You do not need to send the entire I-129F package, no one asks for it, the embassy already has your original I-129F petition. The I-134, most recent income tax return & W-2 are required.

There is more info in my link below.

Don't waste your money sending unnecessary stuff, as Hank said above. I kept a copy of the I-129f packet, but the ONLY thing I sent over to the PI was the I-134 with original signature (helps if you sign in blue ink). Everything else was scanned and emailed, as signatures matter not. If you just use regular mail, send 2-3 original I-134s to make sure she gets one. Otherwise you can use UPS or DHL, etc., but they get pricey quick, IIRC.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/444364-ups-fedex-lbc-usps/?hl=+dhl shows some methods and costs. Like I said, USPS is not as reliable, but MUCH cheaper, especially since you only need to send one piece of paper.

Hello Hank,

I see the issues with trying to pay the Visa fee's so she will have to do that and I will just xoom the money to her. Since I'm making the travel and hotel arrangements for her, the 2 kids, and her Brother to keep them all safe in Manila, I would also like to set the Embassy appointment.

So my next question is, Do I set the embassy appt, then the med since embassy appt seem to be hard to get lately. She is traveling from Zamboanga so multiple trips with 2 young kids to Manila is what we want to avoid. I would prefer to have them stay 14 days so the Medical, CFO, Interview, and hopefully back to CFO for sticker. Is this wishful thinking?

Thanks!

Yup, that is a good plan. Pay the visa feeS (ouch$$$), get an interview date set, then do the medical, CFO and the interview.

Good brother to accompany here!

You can make that work. Schedule the interview first, then do SLEC about 7 days prior. If medical is successful, she can hang around and wait for the interview, then do CFO. She will need CFO stamp in her passport prior to leaving, but if she can't wait around to get the passport & visa (many pick it up at MoA), she can always get the CFO stamp at the airport on her way out of the country, but needs to call and coordinate that a coupla days before flying.

I was the petitioner and I was able to pay for Mike's fee, simply because we have BPI account already. We did online payment and didn't need to print any deposit slip at that time (almost 12 months ago, wow how time flies)

Good luck!

Such great info from all of you!

So we thought right and will plan a 14 day stay with brother to watch over his sister and kids for two weeks. Her Brother is such a good guy and admits he mostly wants to go because he has never been on an airplane and to Manila. LOL.

We plan for her to do Medical 2days then CFO while waiting around 5-7 days for embassy interview. Typically how long if she waited to get Visa back from embassy so she could get CFO stamp too? Although Davenroxy stated she can get the stamps on departure at airport in Manila I'm assuming.

Last thing, Hank, You stated no reason to send her the full copy of the I-129F yet the VJ guides states this right under the AFter NOA2 guide. Is there any part at all she may need like our meeting receipts, hotel pics of meeting???

Thanks again to all!

Brad

Ya I know... I think Forrest Gump wrote that part.... truly not needed.

Embassy states it can take up to 2 weeks to get the visa after issuance. Plan for that and if it arrives early... all the better!

I am not big on getting the CFO sticker at the airport (have to call to arrange that about 2 days in advance, etc; too last minute for something that can stop everything in a heartbeat), stop by CFO with the passport and certificate to get the sticker takes less than an hour without worries.

Having pictures of you two is always a good thing. At this point you are looking to provide evidence of an ongoing relationship - this would be skpe/yahoo/whatever type chat logs (only a small sampling), emails and of course more pictures wink.png (we brought about 8 pictures of us and us with her family) , you can include copies of receipt if you like (odds are they won't ask for them).

I did not send a copy of the I-129f even though the guide says to, based on info learned on here. There is no need, as USEM has the original from NVC, and your fiance won't need it for anything,

You don't need to send the I-129f package to your fiancée but if you the USC is a divorcee I would strongly suggest to scan your divorce papers to you fiancée, she can print it out so she can read the papers and have a copy when she will attend the CFO seminar. Tell her to bring photos of you together, with her family especially with her children and you during the USEM interview.

u can pay the visa fee online if u have bancnet or bpi acct.

For Online Payment

If you have an account with either Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) or BancNet you may choose to pay your visa application fee online using their online bill pay services.

If your Fiance does not have a copy of the entire I129F and if it would cost u more if u include the I129f packet, you may scan the whole I129f packet, save as pdf and send it to your fiance's email. now she has the option to print all or just some of it watever she might be needing

Thanks again for everyone's help on trying to figure out the best way to plan the stay in Manila. I'm most troubled by Hanks real life response that it may take up to 2 weeks before we can get Visa and go to get CFO sticker. Sorry but a Girl and two young kids just can't fly back to Manila or Cebu before departure to USA for the sticker so we may have to arrange a CFO sticker on visa at departure. ARGG...Not all of our loved ones live in close by to Manila.

Question to Hank and all, If after Visa approval from Embassy, Can the Passports of the Fiance and children be securely sent to CFO office for sticker and pay for the return of the visa's to the Fiance? Much cheaper than plane tickets and hotel stay.

Any advice?

Yes! Very good advice and I planned on sending all of the items and them some. Of course my I-134 will be Fed ex too with lots of supporting docs and probably way more than needed.

Thanks again.

ur fiance may register at CFO NAIA but she has to call CFO NAIA desk 1-3days before her flight. CFO NAIA desk is open from 5am til 12midnight. tel. (02)879-5685. she has to bring the requirements for the registration too

Can the Passports of the Fiance and children be securely sent to CFO office for sticker and pay for the return of the visa's to the Fiance?
