I live in Mexico so the Mexican food here doesn't get much better anywhere else. haha

Ok, now I want yorkshire pudding...one of the few things I actually like

I ate at a place in Fort Worth called On The Border. That was pretty good. Actually, I think I ate at On The Border in Arlington and Irving too

(I spent a lot of time in the metroplex several years ago)

Ooh Yorkshire puddings, one of my favourites, my mission in life is to introduce Texas to Yorkshire puddings Yup, I've eaten at On The Border, my first time of trying Mexican, think I had Enchiladas, it was in Arlington, hubby used to live in an apartment complex between the Football and Baseball stadiums ... nightmare on game days :-\

I am so DONE with this winter! Apparently more snow is expected tomorrow!

Luckily, Minneapolis has a pretty large British population here so most things in England can be found here. Even the passive, nonchalant attitude LOL (I'm not from Minnesota, so it's taken getting used to)! I think my husband will adjust just fine

Ooohhhh I can relate! I live in Northwestern Ontario and today with wind chill was -47. Hubs moved to Cali and he texted me pics of palm trees in their backyard. Tad envious right now!

Apparently, (says my USC husband with southern ties) "popovers" are essentially Yorkshire puddings in American disguise!

Hey, what's wrong with UK food

I took my hubby to a Mexican restaurant called Chiquitos when he was here in November, he said it wasn't bad but it didn't come up to scratch with the Mexican food he was used to eating in TX, and this last visit we went to an 'American' Steakhouse, he had ribs and lobster (yes a Texan that didn't eat steak in a steakhouse, I know, I know!), he was pretty impressed with that place

Oh Chiquitos is awful! Texas Embassy was even worse. Lol. Next time you're over, ask to go to Pappasitos. They have a few in the DFW area. My fav Mexican place! Well, texmex.

Lol oh Yorkshire puddings. When I was first asked if I wanted to try one, I was expecting a dessert type pudding or custard. Then they plop down the bread bowl and fill it with gravy. I was so confused. I like em with a traditional Sunday roast!

Well...the Turkish food here is really good and Melbourne has amazing coffee, I'll miss that when we go home.

Oooo, I love Bulmers and Magners cider...ever had it with a shot of fireball whiskey in it? Yum!

Nice! Let us know how that turns out. I'll have to think about doing that for him once in a while as well as find out where they sell mushy peas. Lol I made thanksgiving dinner when I was over in 2012 for his family and they loved it. Said they want to celebrate it every year. This year will hopefully be my hubby's first Thanksgiving here in the states!
