My spouse (US citizen) and I had a green card based on marriage interview today. All went fine, except that I mentioned about getting a traffic violation ticket (red light violation) in 2005. At that time I appeared in court to appeal it, and I won (just said "it was a yellow light and not a red light) and they dismissed the case and I didn't have to pay the fine. They said that I have to get the documentation from the district court where I appeared for my case, and either get in writing that a) I appeared and the case was dismissed b) the record no longer exists in the court. When I went to the district court they said they see a lot of people like me, but that they don't have any documentation nor can they provide me with any documentation. They suggested I go to the local RMV and they might have a copy of the ticket with information on the outcome of the case (that it was dismissed). The RMV was no help all I could get was my driving record but they said if I go to the central RMV they may have this document.

The immigration officer said that I have to come back with that documentation using the INFOPASS appointment but that other paperwork were all approved.

Has anyone come across this issue?
