I have a few questions concerning the DS-230 form. I am the sponsor, and also was designated as the choice of agent.

1. When signing the form, it only has 'applicant signiture', not the usual section or signing if somone else filled out form other than the person. So, my question is because I am my spouse's agent can I fill this out and sign it? Or does my spouse need to fill it out, sign it, and send it to me, where I can then mail it to NVC?

These questions relate to anyone who might know anything about process coming from New Zealand:

2. My spouse only needs to fill out part 1 of the ds-230, correct?

3. Does my spouse only need to send me a photocopy of her bio page of passport? Anything else she should send?

4. Once the case is forwarded to the consulate, what will my spouse need for pre-interview and interview?

Thanks in advance.

I also have one more question. My spouse's father is currently in a remand prison, on the ds-320 it asks for current address. What should be put? Will N/A be sufficient, or do we have to list the prison address?

Also, will the fact that her father in prison affect proccess in anyway?

1. The DS-230 is the actual Visa Application and should be signed by the applicant, the one applying for the visa. Have a read of the first post in the NVC Timesavers thread (linked in my signature). But yes she would need to send you a signed DS-230 part I.

2. Correct. Part II will be completed, not signed, and taken to the interview to be signed in front of the conof.

3. Only a photocopy of the biographics page of her passport is required.

4. Have a read of the instruction packet applicable to the category New Zealand falls in. It lists much of what also needs to be 'obtained' for the interview. http://travel.state.gov/pdf/not_applying_in.pdf

5. Does her father have an address outside of the prison as well that he will return to.

IT would most likely be her current address, is it ok to list that then?
