AP Processing???

What is this AP processing I see everywhere :/ I don't understand what all this is, I see loads of people saying they have waited endless amount of days. Does this just affect some embassies or all of them. I'm going through the London embassy.

Dear Jess,

I am sorry to hear that. My In-Laws just went through that this year. Interview Approved Jan 9, 2013, Visa Issued May, 2013.

Per the DoS site: "Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of the visa interview. When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case. Visa applicants are reminded to apply early for their visa, well in advance of the anticipated travel date" (link below).

It's important to remain patient. It's extremely stressful to wait for the entire Visa Process, let along having to way additional time. Hang in there. After all the research I did, and all the phone calls I made, all came down to one conclusion: Wait it out (unfortunately).

It does affect the UK, but it's usually measured in days unless you have a Muslim name, in which case it can be weeks or months.
