hi everybody my fiance i and arrived on aug 08 and got the stamp on the i-94

and have everything for the ssn

we went two days ago and told us that we need the green card first to process with the ssn and that they couldnt do anything

what i noe is that the i-94 expires and its harder for us to get the ssn

we are going to get married in 3 weeks but we want to get him his social and him get his license already

what can i do??

please help who has gone through this problem! im going crzy

No, you do not need to wait for his green card. There are way too many SSA employees that do not know their jobs and give out completely false information and horribly wrong immigration 'advice'. Ask for a supervisor and/or try another SSA office. http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn
