A factory manager in east China has been arrested for using grease from swill, sewage, pesticides and recycled industrial oil to make lard for human consumption, state media said Monday in the country's latest food scare.

Most likely it was to be exported to the USA.

Just about everything in the USA comes from China anyway.

i agree or maybe 1930....food standards

I'd go with 1930.

I'm cleaning up radioactive waste from the 1950s. It was legal to dump back then. But it's not now.

I remember seeing a documentary on how Chinese farmers would use human feces as fertilizer for crops and plants. This is not only quite dangerous to the consumer but highly illegal in the developed world..
