Can't reach consulate by phone or email (Casablanca, Morocco)

Hello all,

My fiance and I have to reschedule our interview and we emailed the consulate weeks ago but have not received a reply I suppose due to Ramadan.

Their telephone hours are 12-1 on Tuesdays & Thursdays yet whenever I call either a.) nobody picks up b.) Somebody picks up the phone and immediately hangs up and c.) there is no available voicemail option it just hangs up as well.

Any advice on what I can do? Our interview is August 13th so this is a bit stressful.

I wish I could help, I have been trying to reach them by phone and email too, but I have not gotten to speak with anyone. We are getting nervous because they received our paperwork on July 9th, but we have still not gotten our packet 3. Good luck and let us know if you contact someone.

If we do, we will definitely let you know. I'm actually really disappointed at the service, or lack thereof, that I have received. I know their terrible service is pretty common and we are not the only ones unfortunately. I mean I could understand getting a voicemail or them being busy but being deliberately hung up on? Seriously?

Ahmed (my fiance) called yesterday not during their supplied Ramadan hours and got some woman but she just pushed a button and played a robotic automatic message for him and then hung up on him without even listening to his issue.

I'm thinking to contact my congressman to sort this issue out and have contact him contact the consulate for me since I'm not getting the time of day for even a small rescheduling lol.

Our interview was originally July 12, 2012 in Ankara. In Ankara the only way to change the interview was by mail. I sent two emails in the days leading to the interview. I received a response that someone would contact me within 5 days each time. Nothing happened. Finally two days before the interview was scheduled, I sent a third email to the embassy and one email to my US Senator. About 1 week after the interview was originally scheduled, I finally received notice from the embassy that they rescheduled our interview. The only problem was that they scheduled it for 6 months later. My wife and decided we would just wait it out and finally had our interview in December. Not sure if any of this can help you, but we did change our interview successfully, but we had to do it by email.

Yes, I've sent 3 emails and no response

I mean there is record of me sending them so if worst comes to worst there is proof that I did indeed attempt to contact them and I called on my google voice so I have the call history showing how many times I called.

It's just stressful. I just sent an email to my congressman but I think I'll also email the senator. You would think rescheduling would be so simple for them but who knows.

Thank you for your response though it atleast gives me peace of mind that somebody else dealt with a similar issue and got through it.

Good luck getting through, we tried for almost a month to get a hold of someone by both email and phone while in Morocco with no response. I suggest going by the embassey during customer service hours and request to reschedule. Good luck...

why do u need to reschedule. if u did nnot recieve packet 3 u should have recieved invoice form the nvc. and there are instructions with the interview date paper that u should just print out.

We need to reschedule due to an issue unrelated to the packet. We have the packet and everything so that's not the problem.

If you don't get to reschedule for whatever reason please have him attend the interview come hell or high water This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. His interview is next Tuesday, too exiciting.

I remember this so well and finally not having to deal with immigration any longer.

My fiancee is expecting her interview sometimes next month and i appreciate all the feedbacks about how the interviews goes at Casablanca for K1 visa.
