Hi Everyone,

We will be travelling soon with our 8 month old baby back to the Philippines. We didn't get a seat for her ( too expensive for the 3 of us ). I want to get some ideas from anyone who traveled overseas with an infant, any ideas is pretty much appreciated. Especially using Philippine Airlines.

- What are the allowed baggage for the baby? ( Hand carry and what needs to be checked in? )

- Do they allow that body baby carrier to be used on the plane? ( To be honest w were thinking of reserving a seat for our LO but I read that we have to bring our own car seat which is to much of an inconvenience since its heavy to be carried around.

- If the baby is ready to sleep, how did you make her go to sleep w/o being too uncomfortable? ( I am traveling with my husband )

-Do they have that changing table inside the toilet?

Thank you!

If you let them know in advance, they'll try to sit you in a bulkhead seat with a special little crib for an infant where she/he will be relatively comfortable to sleep. There typically is at least one lavatory with changing table. Don't think you have any baggage allowance with no separate ticket.

the bulkhead seat wtih the bassinet that they is very nice to get. So do call them in advance to get that. Otherwise: http://www1.philippineairlines.com/flights/all-about-baggage/free-baggage-allowance/travelling-philippine-airlines-pr-and-pal-express/

You will see on that link that intants get:

Infant's Baggage

An infant may also be allowed one fully collapsible stroller or infant's carrying basket or infant's car seat subject to availability of space

How soon should we call them to get bassinet? do we have to pay for its use?

When you get your ticket ask them so they can get yoru seat since it requires bulkhead seats. Then when your on board ask a flight attendent for it. it is free.
