Hi. Me and my fiance just got a RFE and we do not know what to send them. Originally we sent them photographs, facebook chats and letters from friends saying that they have met both of us. in our RFE it says that photographs are secondary evidence of us meeting and facebook chats are not proof. I live in windsor and am a Canadian citizen so i dont have any plane tickets or passport stamps because I am canadian they do not stamp passports. I called the border and they told me I can not get records of me crossing. I was wondering wat can I use for evidence? I am stuck. We have a planned trip we will be going on but its only in my fiances name. Also my bank statements dont show where I have been in the states just sjows the currency exchange rates. I am lost and have no idea what i can send o them that will be good enough that we have met in person. I have been coming to visit her often and all we reall have is photographs but apperently thats just secondary evidence. any info or insight would be great.

Do you still have boarding passes or plane tickets from your visits? Or e-tickets you still have (in your e-mails) that you can print out?

I didn't use passport stamps (idk why, I never thought of it since I had all my boarding passes) and it was no problem.

Do you guys have any receipts that match up? Maybe from gas bought while there? Anything to prove you've been there at the same time, or maybe related to the photos to prove the time they were taken?

We both went to the zoo while I was visiting and paid for our own admissions with credit cards, then sent in photocopies of the receipts along with photos of us at the zoo. We haven't got an RFE or NOA2 yet, but we're hoping that since the receipts were the same day/time, it will be enough. (With other photos, plane tickets, passport stamps, though...)

I've also heard that hotel receipts are good for proof of visiting.

Note: Facebook chats are only proof of relationship, not meeting. Proof of relationship isn't required until the interview, it's just an extra bonus you can use while filing now. The only they they care about at this stage is proof you have met within 2 years.

apart from pictures, the best bet is to show comingling of funds. have your significant other add you to his bank account, share a credit card, etc. good luck!

when we submitted our original package, I read that some people get a letter notarized, so I wrote a letter saying that I was in Kentucky visiting him etc... and we went to his bank... We both signed it and she notarized both signatures...

that is another option smile.png Good luck

ps I used to live in Windsor for about 7 yrs :)

Receipts are very important. I read up on the process and saved everything. If you have any receipts from when you were there, credit card statements (if it just shows currency rate perhaps you can contact the bank and get something that shows your location), boarding passes... If you don't have any of that I'm not sure what else to suggest.
