I am trying to send the documents my fiance needs for his interview. Which is the fastest to way to mail the documents my fiance needs? I was planning on sending it to LBC next week which takes about 7-10 days but to those who've mailed the needed documents which mailing system did you use? would love some suggestions. thanks

I've mailed a few letters just first class to my fiance in Davao and she did not receive them. Make sure it is registered with signature required so it is certain she gets it. Please let me know way type of service you use. I got an email that our I-129F was approved and our NOA2 was just mailed the 24th so we will be doing the same thing soon. What other requirements did they ask for in the NOA2. I would love to hear what I can expect. Thank you for any help and good luck in your journey.

Just used UPS. Took 2 days going to the states....return back also took 2 days....used their Express saver....cost going to US was $35...coming back was $67. Have used Fed ex in the past, but was happier with UPS. The documents were going to west coast US and back.

We used UPS. Cost was $97 (almost 2 pounds) was there in 3 days. No issues.

Don't use USPS. Some people have had luck, but it's not worth it. The documents you are sending are sensitive and in the wrong hands could cause you serious trouble.

FedEx isn't allowed to operate in the country (not sure the details but they lost a legal battle there recently)

I've read the LBC is good if there is one near you. For me the closest one is 2 hours away.

It depends on what part of the Philippines your fiance live. I used USPS to send some documents to my brother in Davao City. It took 10 working days but he had to pick it up at the post office in Davao. Cost was around $40.

I use dhl because of their presence in Manila and overseas in general.

Dhl has something like 12 locations there and ups I think has 1 or 2.

Also sent docs twice and they get there in 3 days safe and sound. It's pricier but the piece of mind makes it worth while.

Take advantage of print shops and PDFs in email. No point in shipping a paper that could be printed there.

I only paid $8.70 to send my documents, and it arrived in north-central luzon within 10 days. In principal, the money I saved covered what she spent on clothes while in Manila.

You should keep in mind that other folks might not have the LBC option.

Yes LBC is the most convenient for my fiance since he can easily pick it up near where he lives but since his interview is on August 29 and I plan on sending it tomorrow he is worried it might not get to him on time or that it might get lost or something so he is getting mad for not sending when we got our NOA2 but I had to wait for my HR to come back from vacation last week so I could get my employment letter last Friday plus I had to double check everything before sending it to him so that we don't have any problems when his interview comes. I have extra copies of everything anyways and I can send him some of the things thru email but not sure about the affidavit of support & letter of intent to marry since it needs the original signature.

Notarized is not required, nor needed for any documents for the visa application.

I sopke with a supervisor at NVC this morning about scanning and sending via emails so papers could be printed there rather than sending a packet.

I was told it 'depends on the embassy', contact them to see if that is acceptable.

But to expect they would want original signatures and that copies would not do...
