I am currently residing in Canada and am a Canadian citizen, I am still married to my American husband who is residing in the US however we are not together as we had a violent falling out. I had looked into the VAWA self-petition while i was still in the states, however circumstances arose and I found myself homeless and unable to follow through with the application and eventually had no choice but to move back to Canada with the help of Child Protection Services. Four of my children are American and are residing with me. I have a removal order of 20 yrs from the US for crossing illegally after being denied entry. I have no criminal record. I live on a border town, in a very small community where most residents cross the border daily to buy groceries etc. I am wondering where to begin with this whole process and if there is any way to appeal the removal order. There are no immigration attorneys in my area nor do I have the financial means to afford one. I have heard of this I-212 but I dont even know if i am eligable for that as I dont know the conditions on my removal order, it was several years ago and I dont have any paper work. Does anyone know how I can obtain the information surrounding my removal order and my denied entry?

What do you want to do?

Visit the US? Probbaly the information would be on the Consulate Web site, I assume you would need a visitors visa.

If nothing else, then yes, I would just like to be able to cross the border. Do you know the site address for the Consulate? I doubt I am even eligable for a visitors visa as I have a prior removal order, and am barred for 20yrs. That is my dilemna.

What do you mean by nothing else?

Maybe through I-192 Waiver.
