Hello, I filled form i-130 for my wife and 4 kids to join me in the US. It took almost 16 months to get to the interview which took place in cairo on the 26th of June, the interview went well but we had to submit a new joint sponsor. We did that on the 16th of July, as I'm waiting I found a link to the CEAC page where you put you case number and get the status, to my surprise all cases where issued a visa the same day except for one that says Administrative Processing (the one belonging to my 6 years old daughter) . I read many experiences here and on the web that its normal for AP to take six months or more. Anyone have similar experience (AP for a child) ? I thought AP is for National Security checks .. aren't they? What threat would 6 years child pose ?

Any views or opinions as I'm depressed and exhausted.

All administrative work is referred to as AP in every country,

obviously they did not finish up with her processing yet, I hardly

think a 6 yr old would be in extreme check as threat to this society,

Yes in MENA countries most men go into AP that sometimes takes a while...

different thing, as soon as processing for all family members are

completed you will be notified

Okay you posted this 3 times. Only once please.

What have you done so far to find out whats up? have you called DOS? Contacted the embassy to find out what is the issue?

First thing in the morning i would suggest start making some phone call. Report back what you find.
