U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s criticism of state self-defense laws is fueling calls for their repeal by NAACP members angered over last week’s acquittal of a Florida man who fatally shot a black teenager.

“Stand Your Ground laws need to be repealed now,” said Curley Clark, an accountant who has led the Pascagoula, Miss., NAACP chapter for 30 years. “I’m confident the NAACP will try to get state legislatures to a fresh look at these laws and overturn them.”

Its just interesting suddely the law needs to be repealed and law is unjust, I did quick search and found 16 cases in Fl, out of which 4 are clearly AA involved and they used the same law to get away including some were about drug deals gone bad.

At that time the law was not unjust, now suddenly the law becomes unjust.

Sometimes an exception to the law makes people sit up and reconsider the status quo?

What do you have against black people?

Yes, it is almost as though the universe evolves and old ideas get challenges...

Carly Simon might agree with you...

Yes, because those four outweigh the countless folks that get off for killing black people and the black folks that get jail time even when SYG was used and actually warranted. Look up John McNeil.

Hey Harsh is oblivious to how HR operates. You think he can be educated?

Hey Harsh is oblivious to how HR operates. You think he can be educated?

If that is what he wants, then yes.

I just find it troubling that if he or someone else posts a thread about blacks in a disparing light he is all over it. But if someone challenges this or even posts evidence to the contrary, he gets combative.

Why can't he give us the benefit of the doubt?
