Cairo Embassy Closure

Hello all,

I know that interviews for DV2014 winners start in October of this year but regarding the selectees that have to go through the Cairo Embassy won't the problem of the embassys' closure affect them? I assume the already scheduled interviews have to be rescheduled not to mention the scheduling of other IV applicants that already had their cases completed by NVC and mailed to Cairo to await interview dates...all this I presume will cause further delays on wait times.

Will the cases of DV2014 applicants be transferred to another country or do they just have to wait until things in Egypt settle down and the Cairo Embassy reopens?

Thanks in advance.
