Didn't receive I-94 Document

So, my fiance entered the country on June 24th. We handed the Immigration officer the packet she received in the mail. He opened it and kept everything inside. Her passport received the entry stamp.

In looking at the K1 Process Flowchart, I see we can apply for a SSN now. It's asking for a I-94 form and we have no such form. Apparently this was supposed to have been given to us on the plane. I don't remember seeing this form before, and if we did have it, we don't now.

How can we proceed without this form or if we can't, how can we get it?

We're getting married the 3rd week of August.

Should we wait until we're married before applying for a SSN? Because if we don't, the card will be issued to her maiden name.

I tried to add her to my bank account, but they won't add her without a SSN.

You can apply for a SSN before the wedding. But then she has to go there again and have her name changed.

If you don't care to go there twice then go for it ;-)

Regarding your I-94 question. Do you know that you can get this number online? https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html;jsessionid=qTw9RdChmSJ7TNqT6zdQs12FpYgBwQf35WZBk3Q28ytGYGhWnqRX!-1737567978

She has an option to keep her last name after marriage then you can apply SSN now. If you want her last name to be changed, then it would recommend to apply after marriage.

Awesome. Found her! Thanks a bunch.

I think I'll wait until we get married to apply for her SSN.
