Hi guys,

We are just starting to file our I-129F form. We havent posted it in yet.

At this stage do either of us need to provide police records/clearance?

Neither of us have any record whatsoever so I`m not sure what to do?

Thanks

Jenoral.

Suggest you read the Guide that can be found here http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

The USC police checks will be done by USCIS, the beneficiary will need to provide police clearances for her homw country and ANY other country they resided in for 6 months or longer.

Be sure to fill out your timeline when you file. It will give you estimates of expected approval and help others here to help you when you have more questions in the future, and you will have more questions. Haha. VJ is a great resource for those going through this process. There are many very knowledgeable people here who are very willing to help you with your questions.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I did think that there was no need at this stage (I-129F) for a police cert but my girlfriend was sure she read threads where it was needed, I read the guides and searched via the search box and was getting conflicting stories.

Even today someone else posted the same question as me.......http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/439287-i-129f-police-record/

So I`m going with not supplying a police cert with our I-129F...I hope this is correct.
