Hi All,

We received our NOA2 2 weeks ago (June 19th). My fiancee is currently visiting me for 3 months, due to return to the UK in September.

We need to know if she will need to return home early to sort out her medical and prep for the interview or if there is the possibility of waiting until September to arrange it all.

Anyone else face this predicament before? Or know anything that can help?

Our validity date goes until October.

So, do you think it'll be alright to send off the necessary forms now and then have her arrange the medical once she gets back to the UK in September?

I have no clue about the medicals there

but I would definitely ask for an extension just to have it in place, but again that is just my opinion

I am still awaiting my consulate number from NVC, but I believe that London will send her a letter detailing what they need. If she has someone checking her mail, she could have them open it and give you guys the information and she should be able to start filling out documents from here. She could also schedule her medical for after she returns. If she gets everything done ahead of time, and just waits to do the medical and send the "ready for interview" form after she returns, I don't see why she wouldn't be able to get it all in before the expiration on the NOA2. you may want to give her a new Intent to marry document to take with her just in case it goes past, but hopefully that wouldn't be necessary.

Like the other poster said though, check in the UK forum, I'm sure there are enough people in there who have gone through the process who could give you better details.
