Documents to send for Packet 3

Hello Everyone,

I am currently in the middle of doing my Packet 3 and I've read the list of what must be sent.

Going through the forms.

I read that I must also send the following things as well. Birth Certificate, Police Certificate, Marriage Certification (If any), Birth Certificate(s) of children (If any) etc.

Now this doesn't specify on the checklist or the letter I had received from the US Embassy but it does state it on Form DS-156-K.

So I am rather confused as to what needs to be sent with Packet 3 and what does not.

you do not need to send the items on the checklist with packet 3, just the completed checklist itself. that is merely a checklist so you are prepared for what to bring to the interview.

i do know that it states on the DS156-K that it is required, but you can just bring them with you to the interview as outlined on the checklist.

It's definitely a relief as we haven't got the police certificate or The Affidavit of Support yet.

Can anyone please verify this first though?

I'm just being extra cautious at this stage as we're closing in on our wedding date and I don't want to make any mistakes that would cause any big delays.
