CR1 visa, which is already have now, is just as fast as K3. It's more costly too and often administratively closed at the NVC stage. You can apply for expedite if you are applicable.

You just filed last May 2013. You can take a look your processing timeline of your center.

Patience, my dear. We all wanted to be with our love ones. :)

Genesis 2:22-24
Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

You are on IR1/CR1 visa right now, if I am not mistaken. Its on your profile.

No need to apply for another one if that's what you mean.

CR1 is a type of visa process. Filing I 130 is the first step of CR1 visa.

So you are on CR1 route. :)

Do you already have your NOA1? I assume you already have as you are on initial review.

And..what is your RFE, if you don't mind?

NOA1 is the first Notice of Action paper or email that you receive that gives you a receipt number (probably starts with MSC) that you can check online. You've likely already received this letter or email and are able to check the status of your case online as you said you're in "initial review."

RFE is Request for Evidence - when the USCIS wants more information.

Also you have about 2-8 months (or so) to go before you get the NOA2 (notice of action 2 - aka approval or denial of the petition) and you can move onto the second stage of the visa process which is the NVC.

I highly recommend that you and your spouse read the guides included on Visa Journey's wiki so that you are prepared for the next stage when it arrives.

Also it is best to learn a little bit of patience with this process. There is really nothing you can do at this point to speed up your journey. You are waiting for someone to make a decision and the normal time range for that is 4-8 months.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.  - Dr. Seuss

It's too early for you to be worried about the petition.. Start worrying when you are 6 months of waiting..Meantime, relax and read some thread in this site, it's very helpful..
