When I was on the phone with my fiance (at work) in the Philippines yesterday she said they were putting up their Christmas decorations, so I asked if she was spraying fake snow on the windows. Then there was this dead silence on the other end of the phone. :hehe:

I want to, I really really want to. But I need to save my money so I can go for the interview. But, I'm considering going with Fely's sister (who lives in Montana) who is going back home early next year.

Hey John,

my husband & 2 kids we're planning to go back home to Phils later december. My husband wants me & my son experience 1st Xmas here in the US, and we spent new year celebration in Manila with my relatives. But we're awaiting now for the approval of my son AOS.

I have a question though ... ive passed AOS without interview & got my greencard 2day, which i knew i could use to re-entry US. Do i still need for "I-551 stamp on my passport"?? bcos some of VJer's who undergo interview and passed their AOS received stamp on their passport. How important is that? and should i need to have that stamp on my passport before i left US???

thanks for info.

The stamp is only needed if you want to travel before you get the actual card. Once you have the card, nothing else is needed. Marlene didn't get the stamp either. We didn't make any travel plans until after she got the card in the mail.

Perhaps some of us could get together for lunch one day in January. We are planning some side trips while we are there, but will be spending much of our time in Makati. We are planning a shopping trip to Bangkok tentatively for Jan 4 - 8, so we probably wouldn't be available then. We might also spend a day or two in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, but haven't made any plans for those yet.
