How does expedite decision take?

I got my NVC number last night (19 June) and submitted an expedite request within hours. That same night I got an email from NVC stating that they received it and the expedite is under review. Now I'm wondering how long it will take before I actually get a decision on it. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks for your replies!

Please delete this as I've posted a corrected version! Thanks!

Ours was approved in 1 business day. You should call them tomorrow to get an update, don't wait for them to notify you.

Did they say if/when your expedite request was forwarded to the embassy? Ours was forwarded to the embassy right away and the embassy approved it the next business day.

I sent in an expedite request to the NVC on Friday 14 June, and I haven't heard back from them. I called the NVC operator on Friday 21 June and she recommended that I resend the expedite request with the words "second time sending" to supervisor Sue in the subject and body of the email. I will let you know if I hear anything from the NVC.

Still nothing and I submitted the request last Wednesday! At this rate I'll be done with NVC soon anyway. I already paid the AOS bill and have the package in an envelope waiting to mail it. And we submitted the ds-3032 on Friday.

We have similar timelines. I haven't heard back from the NVC after sending the expedite request for the second time.

How do you submit an expedite request?

First you need to qualify for an expedite. Just wanting to get through the process faster does not qualify.

Have look at the criteria here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=16a6b1be1ce85210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

If you qualify, follow the directions
