US Dollar coming back against PHP

The peso sank to its weakest in over 17 months as regional markets were pummeled after the US Federal Reserve heralded easing of stimulus and China reported poor manufacturing data.

The local currency ended trading at its sessions low of 43.8:$1, the weakest since January 16, 2012's 43.88:$1 close.

It was also the lowest the peso traded in since it touched 43.95:$1 in May 25, 2012.

“It pulled back primarily on the Fed statement,” a trader at a local bank said.

Jena had planned on helping her folks out and was very surprised when she saw the exchange rate last night. It was great timing.

Yup I saw that yesterday as well, over 43 pesos to the USD. Trick is to actually get that rate on exchange.

We just got back to the US from the Philippines a couple of days ago. We were quite happy to get our $$ exchanged at 42 peso while I was there.

I think Xoom was 42.3 last night.

Then it went up slightly since yesterday afternoon, it was 42.17 in the afternoon.

Just checked xoom, its 42.53 today

I got 42.95 from LBC on Tuesday.
