So my interview is on Monday mellow.png
Thought I'd just post a little checklist on here of all the Documents/Evidence I have gathered for the day- hopefully it will be of use to those of you that are preparing for yours too! And if you want my advice- prepare WELL IN ADVANCE cause you do NOT want to go through the panic I have just gone through this last week. (All because a certain fiance didn't do as he was told....) headbonk.gif

(Please note this list is of my own personal folder- I have marked the -perhaps- unnecessary things with *asterisks*)

So here it is, THE ESSENTIALS:

  • Appointment Letter
  • *NOA2 Letter*
  • Passport
  • 4 USA Visa Photos & *2 UK Passport Photos*
  • MRV Fee Receipt (Proof of Payment)
  • Birth Certificate & 2 copies
  • ACPO Police Certificate & 2 copies
  • Affidavit of Support- 2 I-134 forms (1 for my fiance & 1 for the co-sponsor)

EVIDENCE (will vary for everyone depending on their own unique circumstances)

  • 2 IRS Forms (1 for my fiance & 1 for the co-sponsor)
  • Letters from Work (1 for my fiance & 1 for the co-sponsor)
  • Letter from College (Details of the course my fiance is taking)
  • Pay Slips- most recent (2 of my fiance's and 2 of the co-sponsor's)
  • Letters from the banks (details of my fiance's account and another with details of the co-sponsors multiple accounts)
  • *My own bank statement* (To prove I have savings too)
  • 3 Most Recent Income Tax Returns (1 for my fiance & 2 for the co-sponsor)
  • Photographs! (of our engagement, our holidays together, our first holiday spent alone away from both of our homes etc)
  • *The dreaded Skype logs!* (I've read different things about whether they need these or not so I'm bringing them just in case)
  • *My ESTA Receipt, Boarding Passes, Plane tickets, Receipts, Event/Concert Schedules+Tickets (Carnegie Museum of Art + Ancient history, Carnegie Science Centre, Niagara Falls Aquarium) etc*
  • *Copies of everything included in the DS Package I sent off*
  • My engagement ring + receipt (dated 2 years before we filed the I-129f)

So that's pretty much everything! Let me know what you think- or if you remember something I haven't included please tell me! I hope this is some use to those of you that are wondering exactly what it is you need to bring with you, or need an idea of what sort of evidence to provide.

Do you have your DS156 in duplicate? and your Ds156K?

Indeed I do. Everything that I sent off to the Embassy before, I made an exact copy of the whole package.

Ahh I see, here in Dublin I needed to bring them with me.

Yeah I've heard different things about that. I guess some embassies ask for it all in the post whereas others expect you to bring it to the interview. I'm bringing copies just in case though.
