help with police clearnce question

Hey all...

my wife went to request her police clearance and the police in Fiji gave her the option of sending it to NVC or straight to the embassy. I would like to send it straight to the embassy if it does not cause any delays. if they mail it to the nvc, it will take around three to six weeks to get there.

has anyone run into this before?

I am planning on having it sent to the embassy and submitting a written explanation with the visa application.. does that sound like it will work, or will it hang me up at nvc?

if she has to be there in person to apply for it, pay for it -

i would ask if there is ANY way that she can have a certified copy made and put in her hands,

then have the original sent on to the US Embassy IV unit

then (your choice)

get a scanned version of the certified copy via email from yer spouse, write a letter about what was done, submit the printed scan and the letter together into NVC.

or

have her send the certified copy to you via fast mule.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
