I guess the Philippine government better call out the army and surround the embassy then.... Really? !! Your cheese is sliding off your cracker .. stating the U.S embassy is involved in trafficking.... get a reality check. wacko.pngwacko.png

R.A. 9028 is a Philippine law, not a U.S. law... the embassy is U.S. soil and is not an entity of the Philippine government so its not going to enforce a foreign countries laws.

CFO is the place for the consent and/or advice letter, after all IT IS a Philippine government entity. So don't worry your head, CFO is handling it.

Hank, I wonder why you go out of your way to be rude sometimes. You tend to offer some decent advice most of the time but you seriously go off track on occasion. I never claimed it was US law. I stated it was a law, period. Where the law holds jurisdiction is irrelevant. It behooves the US government to work in conjunction with other governments to make sure their citizens are not skipping out on legal requirements. I know the US Embassy doesn't care usually, though on occasion a decent consul will ask for all the paperwork to be in order on both sides of the fence. The CFO does care and they almost always ask for the paperwork in question. The US Embassy should however be more diligent and be sure local laws are being obeyed as well in case there are later accusations by concerned family members.

USCIS, NVC and US Embassy Manila doesn't give a damn about parental consent/advice.

CFO does in some occasions depending on the mood of the CFO officer, so be prepared and bring it.
