Hi everyone,

Last week I had the consular interview for my F2B visa. It was actually denied with a 221g paper asking for a joint sponsor. We have a friend who accepted to be the joint sponsor along with his wife. To save time, I filled the Part 2 of the I864 that concern my information (electronically) and sent him the form by email. Yesterday I've just got the I864 + I864A via FedEx filled correctly except that he forgot to write his name on the first paper (he used ink instead of writing it electronically like my part) on question 1 part one. Everything else is perfect. (Signature, his name on the other pages ...)

My question is the following: can I write his name myself on the first page? Is it ok? He doesn't mind since he just forgot. If so, should I fill the Part 9 since I participated on filling the form? I can't wait for him to send a new one because I work in another country and I came to my home country to have the visa interview and I need to go back to work. Thanks in advance for your help.

It's only his name that is missing in the name field, not the signature then yes. People often mix and match typing and handwriting if a address etc doesn;t fit in the space provided, so you should be fine.
