NOA 1 August 6

Just got my NOA 2 in the mail today (dated Oct 25th) I was sure it was an RFE until I opened it. So soon! I wasn't expecting to hear anything until January or February.

But---today I called the NVC to see if they received it and the representative told me no, and that it has been taking about 8 weeks to receive cases after approval. So....speeding things up on one end and slowing them down on another. So much for thinking things were moving exceptionally fast ;). OK, back to the waiting game.

NVC received my case Nov 14th (petition approved Oct. 25th) and sent it to the embassy Nov 18th. So, it didn't take 8 weeks after all :) hoping I can schedule my interview soon :0)

My lawyer contacted USCIS Customer Service on June 13, 2014. They told her that the Texas Service Center was working on cases they received on December 3, 2013. Because my case was received on December 16, they said to call back in two weeks or a month if we haven’t heard anything by that time.

Thought this might be useful:

Notified 6/16 at 10:30 via text and email that NOA2 was approved. No RFE. 8 days shy of 6 months @ TSC. I opened a service request 20 days ago using "December 2013" rather than our exact date and it went though. My senators office opened up a case about 30 days ago. USCIS responded to both saying 30-45 days you will have a response.

I think December peeps will be done by the end of the month.

What next!!!??? I'm too happy to be organized anymore!

Exactly! I was so organized and now I feel like I'm missing something! I'm wondering how long it will be until our documents go through the NVC and make it to the embassy in Santo Domingo...

After this excruciating wait, my expectations are pretty low! I can tell you one thing... I'm not looking forward to spending the day at the embassy!
