Obtaining K1 Visa and recently temporaily on disability

Hello everybody,

I'm wondering if anyone has any info on my situation. My fiancé is trying to get her k1 visa. To bring her here to the US. We have known each other for 3 years and we have met several times in her country the Philippines. The problem is that as of March 1st 2013 I went on disability. I've been at the company for 18 years and plan on going back next year. I continue to make full pay and have all my benefits, which I have for the next 3 years if needed. My question is will I have a problem meeting my financial requirements to sponsor her?

You should have no problem. What is important is your ability to earn enough to support her. The fact that you are temporarily on disability shouldn't be a factor especially since you have been in one place for that long.

See the 134 form to find out what info they require. Good idea to submit at least one years tax transcript as well. get this free from the IRS.
