Seems to be the general concensus. To the OP, not sure where you're located but beware, you'll likely have to add some travel costs in there as well. Last I heard, there were four doctors that can give these exams in Canada...and of course, three of them are Toronto/Montreal/that general area.

and we can't book it a bit earlier than the exam? oh noes. Was kind of hoping I wouldn't have to drive the mountain passes (my closest is apparently Surrey, BC - but who knows, that may change) in the dead of winter. Other half-related to this question - do they let you know at the interview who is authorized to perform these exams? (OP, sorry to threadjack a bit)

May 7, 2014 - Consulate Interview

May 13, 2014 - K1 visa in hand!!!

July 2, 2014 - POE (Sweetgrass)<p>

July 23, 2014 - apply for EI (mother of god that was confusing...)<p>

August 11, 2014 - finally get hitched!

September 16, 2014 - send off AOS/AP/EAD

Actually there are now 6. But 4 of them are in the Toronto area.

As a K1 though your process is different than an IR1/CR1. Also Dr Cheema normally gives back the results next day so you could feasibly stay in the Vancouver area for 3 days and get it all done.
