Hello!

Quick explanation of our situation: I am the USC, my Irish fiancé is the beneficiary, we both live in Ireland. We filed nearly 4 months ago now, and we provided my mom's address in California for the correspondence with USCIS. So we received our NOA1 hard copy no trouble and my mom will be able to forward us the NOA2 hard copy when we receive it.

We have moved address in Ireland. My concern is for when our case is sent on to the embassy in Dublin, Ireland. They won't have our correct address in Ireland to send us the packet 3 and so on. How do I fix this? And when? Should I wait for our NOA2 an then contact the embassy? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

When the NVC gets your petition I would get your new embassy case number and then contact the embassy and send them your updated info with your case number so they can link it up properly with your file. Make sure to stay on top of it and get the case number as early as you can.

I would update through the embassy directly because often NVC will say its updated but it wont be updated in the system and the embassy will be trying to contact you at the incorrect address.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

We are in the same situation, we changed address a month or two after filing. I have changed my address succesfully online, so hopefully we will receive our NOA2. But then what happens for the Beneficiary?? I think I read a week or two back, that because we're so close to receiving it, it is probably best to wait for a NOA2 and for the case to be received by the Embassy. Start calling them with your case number and ask to update them, they will probably tell you what to do and how to update their records. Like sending in a letter with all your details and your change of address for the Beneficiary...

Another option (I may have to go through this myself, I'm the beneficiary and my house is up for sale) is if your post over there does mail forwarding. I know Canada post you can pay a fee and they'll forward your mail to your new address for 6 months or a year. That way, if you change your address with the embassy but for some reason correspondence is sent out to your old address, you'll still get it.

Best of luck!!
