Timeline

Just wondering how long it normally takes to get anything back on the post?and should I received any kind of email notification that they got my package? I sent it away almost two weeks ago and have yet to hear anything

Received phone call from ACPO regarding missing page: 23/05/2013

Mailed missing page: 24/05/2013

Received email from ACPO on 28/05/2013: will now process application received on 13/05/2013 in accordance with the published guidelines.

I mailed mine 23.04.2013 and received it 16.05.2013.

IR1/CR1 Visa - DCF at London Embassy

April 16, 2013: Mailed out I-130

April 18, 2013: Date Petition filed
May 13, 2013: APPROVED!
May 22, 2013: Case Number received
June 3, 2013: Mailed out DS-230 & DS-2001
June 4, 2013: Medical Exam at Bentick Mansion
Unfortunately I have to re-do it in 6 + weeks as I was diagnosed with pneumonia
June 22, 2013 I traveled to the USA with the plan of returning to the UK, spoke to a Immigration lawyer and he told me to change my status and go the AOS route.
Since 2014 I am a permanent resident.

I mailed mine off exactly a week ago and haven't heard a squeak either, and my cheque hasn't been cashed yet!

USCIS (239 days):

04.18.2013 - NOA1

12.13.2013 - NOA2 via email; I-130 approved. Shipped to NVC

NVC (274 days):

12.30.2013 - Arrived at NVC

01.27.2014 - Received case no. & IIN

02.07.2014 - Completed & submitted DS-261 form online

02.13.2014 - Paid AOS bill

02.18.2014 - AOS showing as 'paid'

03.18.2014 - Invoiced for IV bill (finally!)

03.19.2014 - Made payment for IV bill

03.21.2014 - IV bill showing PAID

03.24.2014 - Completed DS-260 online

03.29.2014 - Mailed IV Packet

04.26.2014 - IV packet all approved, false checklist from NVC for AOS packet

05.07.2014 - AOS packet sent

06.12.2014 - AOS packet scanned in (took them THAT LONG to do it)

07.29.2014 - Received checklist via email

07.30.2014 - Sent re-filled AOS form, as per checklist instructions

09.24.2014 - Case Complete (FINALLY)

I'll join the club too! Sent mine May 17th and no email or sign of cheque being cashed yet.

To be honest knowing others are in the same position makes me panic less about it being lost/stolen/set on fire happy.png

I contacted them because I was worried and this is what I got as a response a couple days later:

"...

Having mailed the application form on 23/04/13, we would expect it to have arrived here in the building. Your information has not been put onto the database as yet, but that is not unusual. The applications are date stamped when they arrive in the building and that is when the clock starts ticking for the 10 working days processing.

When your application is logged onto the system, you should receive an email informing you when it was received and the process is ongoing in accordance with our published guidelines.

..."

So they take their time with this.

Ditto! I was just coming on here to write the exact same thing. Picked up a mail when I got in tonight saying they received it on the 20th and it'll now be dealt with, blah blah.

Someone told me before that it takes quite a while. A friend of mine who had to apply for one did the Premium Service and had to wait 2.5 weeks as well for her police certificate to come back to her. She was so upset.

I sent mine 20th May and my cheque was cashed today if that helps.they emailed me confirming they had received my application ten days after I sent it on May 30th,So you should hear something soon I would think
