I'm just wondering how long it took for people to get their interview letter in the mail. My fiance had his medical on May 8th, and we havent heard anything yet. Also, about how long does it take after the interview to receive the visa in the mail from Frankfurt? What if he needs to reschedule the interview? is he able to do that, and how do you do that??

We are so close and I cant get any answers....Please help

I'm just wondering how long it took for people to get their interview letter in the mail. My fiance had his medical on May 8th, and we havent heard anything yet.

Mine only took a couple of days, but sometimes Frankfurt is busy. Also, they have been closed due to public holidays quite a bit in May (http://german.germany.usembassy.gov/ueber/feiertage/), so that might have slowed things down. Why don't you ask your fiancé to write an e-mail to the consulate (to the Immigrant-IV address that he should have on his Packet 3 document) and inquire. They usually reply pretty fast and might be able to tell him his appointment date in that e-mail already. Happened to a friend of mine.

Also, about how long does it take after the interview to receive the visa in the mail from Frankfurt?

They will tell your fiancé it will take 7-10 business days. Mine took exactly 7 business days.

What if he needs to reschedule the interview? is he able to do that, and how do you do that??

Your fiancé can try to reschedule by writing an e-mail to the consulate. I would, however, only recommend rescheduling if it is REALLY necessary and there is no way he can make it to the interview, or it might lead to yet another long wait for a new appointment opening.

There is a thread specifically for German applicants on here. You will likely have a lot more Germans commenting if you post your questions in that thread, so come on over! smile.pnghttp://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/272767-german-peopleruhrt-euch/page-49

We are also waiting for an interview.

We sent the package with the I-864 etc last month. It arrived on May 24th. I have emailed them about 14 times and every time they respond telling me that they have not yet received the package. It makes no sense since the postal tracking states that it arrived almost 2 weeks ago.

I'm furious. First, why do they not have a phone number?? And second, where is my package if it is not in the mail and it is not at the address it was sent to?

I am leaving in 2 weeks to start a job in San Diego...My husband will have to wait until we hear something about the interview date and who knows how long that might take. This process is SO FRUSTRATING.
