My fiance also lives in Cebu, but the medical and interview was a few weeks apart. If you can afford better to space them apart the embassy emcourages at least 1 week between. The flight cost about 3800.00 pesos so not to horrible, good luck guys.

the "eligibility letter" that OP means is what we've known as the "packet 3" or the "instruction letter"... because on the letter, it says "You are now eligible to be scheduled for the visa interview" and we can actually get this letter on USEM's website http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction_rtf2_rtf2_001.pdf

Some applicants took their medical exam a week or a month or months before their interview.. though the embassy states to have the medical exam at least a week before the interview.. i think it's probably to give St. Lukes enough time to forward the medical results to USEM. so that's why they recommended to have the medical atleast a week before the interview.as well as atleast the medical results are latest..though Medical exam is valid for 6 months..

We are also waiting for our case number. it has been 7 business days now since we got approved. ClockWatch2.gif

There is a link in my signature for the complete K-1 process in Manila

No you do not need to wait.

Please to read Hank_ 's complete handy dandy guide to Getting a K-1 visa for Manila.

It's complete, and chock full of all the info you need. However, there are links you must click and

plan on reading all for about 4 days, twice.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
