So, we had our interview today, and he was told to wait to hear from them and put in AP (idare islem).

What could be the reasons for being selected for AP? whats the % of turkish male applicants that get put in AP? I was told by one user that most middle eastern countries tend to do AP but never thought we would have to deal with it :(

And how long does it normally take?

Any input is appreciated.

Also, he was handed a reddish paper stating he was in AP. does colors make a difference? Cause ive read in the earlier years people have been handed blue slips and stuff.

My husband was in AP last year. IT took it about 4 months but the American consulate page in Ankara says it can be up to 6 months. Some take less but it is the first time I heard a K1 in turkish ended up in AP. Usually are the CR1.

im sorry to say but this actually makes me feel better :-/

How would I look up the interview schedule? There are so many sites to follow I cant keep up?

Also there is a website where you can check if your AP is done, I think I have it but if anyone else here has it too can you post it here. I want to make sure I have the right one cause I couldnt get to it from the address on the slip but came to it by going from site to site.

Thank you all for your responses.

Thats a lot of people for AP!

If you take out all the ones that don't start with an ANK or other embassy .. there are 107. And a lot of the visa have been issued already. Even the ones from July. But also look at some of the dates on these AP's. They start in 2004. These cases have had problems for a while. Since the case number is assigned at the NVC, If you take out everything before 2012, you have 52 people in AP on this schedule. Of that 52 only 25 are still waiting for a visa.(before this week because the 14 sent to AP this week don't show on there yet) Also we can't see the type of visa on this schedule. So they my not be all K1 or Cr1/IR1's.

USCIS - 66 days ROC - 139 days from sent to approved
