Hi,

I have questions regarding ds-230 package, can you help me plz ? Your input is appreciated

-I'm creating my own DS-230 cover letter to include with IV package, I’m the beneficiary, I thought I 'm the one who has to sign it, but when I made research on VJ, I understood that the petitioner who has to sign the ds-230 cover letter CORRECT?

I don't have to send to my husband any signed cover letter?

-I found 2 models:

Cover Letter Template

Attachment 4 – DS-230 Cover Sheet

I see there is no difference between these 2 examples both lists what contain the package!, I know the cover sheet will be printed from the payment portal online, with a barcode , What's the feasibility of this second model ( attachment 4 )?

-You and each family member immigrating with you must submit to the NVC a photocopy of the original documents or certified copies of the documents.

If I want to make a photocopy (for example) of my original birth certificate do I have to make a photocopy to the original Non translated birth certificate or photocopy of the translated one? I’m confused

Thank you for help

The personal typed cover letter is not required. You simply are listing what is in the package so that it makes bit easier on the person reviewing your package. The only cover letter you HAVE to have is the bar coded cover sheet that is printed off from the payment portal after the invoice is paid. If you want you can include a cover sheet that tells the NVC what documents you have included in the IV package and in what order.

I can't see the link on my phone. But the Ds-230 is the iv application. It's the beneficiary's package while the AOS is the petitioner's. If you include a signed peraonal cover letter it should be your signature.
