Salamu alaykum everyone. file for my husband who is in morocco. i I have been waiting since sept 18,2012 of last year.cray5ol.gif I have not heard anything from them yet. My case is at the CSC. Why is it taking so long.ClockWatch2.gif I know that im going to need a joint sponsor but thats about it. Can i get a letter from my work saying i make this a year, will that help me in anyway or do i have to have the tax return. The thing is, i have my tax return from last year but its not alot so will a letter help me anyway ? letter and pay stubs ? So i dont have to get a joint sponsor.

Walaikom salam The letter and pay stubs help but they look at ur tax's . Belive me its the first thing they ask for before the interview. I know that earlier this year the csc transfered alot of cases to other service centers because they had alot of cases thats probably why its taking longer.Myt best advice is just be patient and inchalllla u will hear good news soon but u can always email an officer at the csc at the following email they usuallly email back within a week.

Yes when ur case goes to the nvc they will send u a form of all the stuff he will need to bring with him to the interview i know you will have to send him the last three years income tax if available but last years for sure with the form i864 you can look it up online at uscis and if your going to have a joint sponcer they ask for thier incom tax of last year also. If u didnt make enought just try to find a joint sponcer someone in ur family here thats willing to sponcer him . If you find that form i864 there is a povertty guidline that u have to meet i belive u have to make more than. $19387 if its only u and him if ur adding a joint sponcer both of ur incomes has to add up to $24,412 . Try to get a sponcer they can reject ur visa because of it look below i copied this from uscis i864 form

4. What If I Cannot Meet the Income Requirements?

If your income alone is not sufficient to meet the requirement for your household size, the intending immigrant will be ineligible for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status, unless the requirement can be met using any combination of the following:

a. Income from any relatives or dependents living in your household or dependents listed on your most recent Federal tax return who signed a Form I-864A, Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member.

b. Income from the intending immigrant, if that income will continue from the same source after immigration, and if the intending immigrant is currently living in your residence. If the intending immigrant is your spouse, his or her income can be counted regardless of current residence, but it must continue from the same source after he or she becomes a lawful permanent resident;

c. The value of your assets, the assets of any household member who has signed a Form I-864A, or the assets of the intending immigrant;

just to clarify.... Since you are married and have applied for a CR-1/IR-1 for your husband, at the NVC stage the I-864 and supporting documents will be sent in after the $88 fee has been paid. You will also submit his DS-230 (visa application) after that $240 fee has been paid. Read the first two posts http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/427843-nvc-filers-may-2013/

or on any of the NVC filers threads to get a better picture of what comes next for your husband's petition. Hopefully, it will be approved by USCIS soon.

He fills out the complete form, but only signs Part 1.... this is also known as the IV packet (this is the actual visa application). This will be invoiced to pay after the NVC receives/accepts the DS-3032. see this flowchart created by Saylin https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9bvTEwLyHz1aW0yTWRqa3lqYzA/edit?pli=1

At the NVC, there is the AOS (Affidavit of Support) path, and the IV path.

Look at the flowchart, and feel free to ask any other questions.
