So this morning, we wake up about 5am.....shower, double check everything is in order and head out to Houston for our AOS interview about 6:15a. Get there around 8:15am or so, by the way stupid MSN maps suck. We turn in our letter & fill out the 'highlighted' areas on a form....and have a seat. We only waited about 10-15 minutes before being called back to a room. The lady was very nice. It was weird seeing all the papers I had sent, in their file.....all the hours of prep time & research crammed into a folder. She asked for our passports & Drivers license/photo ID. She shuffled a few papers, asked where we married, Asked Tony his parents names, his birthday, where he was born, my birthday......where he worked, why did it say "none' for employment on the AOS paperwork. CUZ HE COULDN'T YET.....HELLO NO EAD! She asked if we had any children, we said no (she actually asked us that several times). She really didn't look at the papers I brought with us, I spent all that time organizing them and she didn't even want to see them :hehe:

She asked what proof we had of relationship, so I pulled out our phone bill, bank statement, medical insurance papers, and even our Netflix envelope :D .....and our wedding photos, which she liked.

She said she would like to approve us today, and had to step out of the room to her supervisor, after a minute she came back and said we were APPROVED!

In total it took about 15 minutes for the whole thing.....we were back on the road about 9:08 am

No we just have to keep track of when the GC expires, so we can do the whole 'lifting of conditions' thing 90 days before the 2 years is up.

So after all that, we get home....phone the mom's and let them know the good news.....get some breakfast at IHOP...them come home and crash out on the couch together.

Good luck to everyone else going thru it, just make sure you have all your papers in order & everything will be fine!!!

congratulations!!

we had our interview in Houston as well, we got lost too!

i had been losing sleep over the whole thing but during the interview I was amazingly relaxed and calm. It helped that the interviewer noted right off the bat that we looked like we are really in love. I guess body language says a lot!!! This was July, as of saturday it's been four months since I recieved my AOS.

are you from the Houston area?
