Hi all

I have just received an e-mail from USCIS saying:

On May 8, 2013, the post office returned your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) as undeliverable. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days from May 8, 2013, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application with fee.

Obviously, this is quite scary. We have received our NOA2 from USCIS and our file is at NVC now (unfortunately, it is undergoing 'additional review').

I phoned USCIS and they said that the update must be a mistake - they say they've had some rogue updates in the last few days. They don't have our case anymore as it's at NVC. I've e-mailed our lawyer because he should have got a copy of the NOA2 too and it might be his copy that is undeliverable (shouldn;t be - the NOA1 turned up with him ok).

Any thoughts?

This whole process has been unbelievably stressful. Last week we were told our file was in AP, then on Thursday it was no longer in AP, then today we're told it's in 'additional review'. I foolishly thought that when we got the NOA2, most of the waiting would be behind us....

Your case could be there for a few weeks. Just keep calling NVC for status updates. Good Luck!

yes, I know about AP (or 'additional review' as they said at NVC - 'we don't do processing here', she said). Frustrating as that is.

I'm more concerned about the e-mail I received. Does anyone know about this?

It happens, but nothing to worry about since you aren't expecting anything from USCIS. You are done with them and have been handed off to the Dept of State (NVC, Embassy). It's not like they sent out your greencard and it wasn't deliverable and went back to them. The paper NOA2 is your last thing from USCIS until you return to apply for a greencard.
