Time from approval to visa issued?

Hello,

Our beneficiary's visa was "approved" but has not been issued yet. The embassy surprisingly responded to our email question about status within the same day... all they said was the visa was approved but the passport does not get shipped until the "visa is issued". That was 2 weeks ago. Anyone know?

I check my parents visa status in https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== .

The interview was yesterday May 2nd (Philippines) so I was surprised to see the status ISSUED as of today (May 3 in Phils). The courier will deliver it within 7 to 10 days.

Try checking the status from that link.

when sveta was approved the embassy/dos claimed an IT ( ie computer problem ) then claimed a printer printer problem so go figure . I had my state senator make hard request and the evening before her flight was due to leave TNT called said can pick up visa/passport

I have to correct what I posted before. When my mom received her visa packet, she told me that there was a written date when the visa was issued. It was issued right after their interview (so that same day May 2nd).

My parents received their visas 3 business days (May 7th) after the interview (May 2nd).
