Hi! We recently changed from K1 to CR1 got married 2 wks ago. Because my husband lives in Nevada we sent the 1-130 to Phoenix...was accepted..and money order cashed and we received a NOA1 saying it has been sent to Lee's Summit. MO......Hello...I have never heard of this service centre. Any thoughts?

BTW. I went through Pearson Airport (Toronto) April 9/13 and did tell American Immigration I was going to visit my fiance..he only asked if I was planning to work, and how long I was staying. Lee's Summit, MO is where the NBC (National Benefit Center), also known as MSC (Missouri Service Center) is located. Some I-130 received at Lockboxes are routed to the NBC for processing. Expect a 3 to 4 months processing time of your petition.

Once your petition is appoved, it will be routed to NVC (National Visa Center) for further processing where your immigrant visa will be generated.

Most petitions since August 15th have been routed there first. Some are processed there while others are sent to local offices (local to the petitioner) for processing. Once the I-130 has been approved it will go on to the NVC for the next stage of processing. Please note that 3-4 months is not necessarily the "norm" anymore becuase if it does get sent out to a local office it will depend on the caseload there. Good luck with your journey!
