I keep seeing this thing for ADIT processing. Just what is it?

To Quote KitKat1 from a previous post:

ADIT:

Alien Documentation, Identification and Telecommunications card, Form I–89. Used to collect key data concerning an alien. When processed together with an alien's photographs, fingerprints and signature, this form becomes the source document for generation of Form I–551, Permanent Resident Card

K-1 Visa Journey

04/20/2006 - file our I-129f.

09/14/2006 - US Embassy interview. Ask Lauren to marry me again, just to make sure. Says Yes. Phew!

10/02/2006 - Fly to New York, EAD at JFK, I'm in!!

10/14/2006 - Married! The perfect wedding day.

AOS Journey

10/23/2006 - AOS and EAD filed

05/29/2007 - RFE (lost medical)

08/02/2007 - RFE received back at CSC

08/10/2007 - Card Production ordered

08/17/2007 - Green Card Arrives

Removing Conditions

05/08/2009 - I-751 Mailed

05/13/2009 - NOA1

06/12/2009 - Biometrics Appointment

09/24/2009 - Approved (twice)

10/10/2009 - Card Production Ordered

10/13/2009 - Card Production Ordered (Again?)

I'm sure this will seem rude and out of left field but it is not, really.

Try searching and reading before posting!

Someone else posted the same thread elsewhere yesterday, and my answer to him would be the same: try googling the phrase you are looking for and voila....

It does help that I know that the old photo poses were called 'ADIT photos' so I had a clue, but ADIT + Immigration will give you a lot of replies.

Everyone can save themselves some worry/panic/curiosity by doing some simple searches.

Some people don't mind taking the time to answer what might seem like silly questions. If everyone were to just redirect people to searches, there wouldn't be much use for this forum.

Some people lack guidance and knowledge and I'd like to think this is a great place to go when you're in need of just that. Just my 2 cents.

Oh and sometimes the searches on this forum or other search engines just don't provide the results you're looking for. (Hence my post earlier today)

Perhaps you're out in left field. The "ADIT photo", I did google it's the old 3/4 pose photo that hasn't been used in 1 plus years, so why all of the sudden have several people been getting emails with approved AOS and mentioning ADIT photo.

ADIT hasn't been mentioned on this (or any other board) I could find since mid 2005, then all of a sudden three people I can find got the same email or status update on the same day.

Simple searches don't answer the question, so obviously you haven't done your google work.

And it's not ADIT photo's, it's ADIT processing that our NEW emails state.

Something is very new here, not very old and not on the searches.
