If anyone could help it would be GREATLY appreciated. My fiance and I are trying to get everything ready for the interview and she does not have a birth certificate, or adoption paperwork. If anyone knows where she can go to find these papers you would really be saving our relationship. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

She will need to get Notarial Certificates, AKA "White Books," that is what the Guangzhou consulate will want to see. A lot involves her "hukou." For more specific information check out the the China regional forum. In particular, the pinned thread, "Chinese Visa and Marriage Terms."

Better get it done soon, it can take some time to obtain White Books. Get several copies, later on in USA it will be much more trouble to get additional copies.

Good luck.

ya, all starts with her hukuo book.

The hukuo book is not the birth certificate, but the hukuo book is used (by some office) to generate the birth certificate, in Chinese.

Once the chinese birth certificate is obtained, a white book, notarial translation pamphlet, must be generated (as GUZ IV wants that white book for doc intake)

A&B put forth the links - but really - all starts with hukuo book. If she not live in the same district or even province as her hukuo, currently, then that's ok also - a family member that has HER in their hukuo book can get it done if they are in the hukuo city.

To to the local police station. Usually they will tell you where to get notarized. It's better to find someone with relation ship to the notary office. You can ask for next day. Otherwise, it will take a month. Good luck. And happy for you guys. I am still waiting...
