Request for Evidence

On April 20, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting evidence/information for this case to you or your representative. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the material requested. This case will be held in suspense until we either receive the evidence/information or the opportunity to submit it expires. A new processing period will begin when we receive your response. You or your representative will be notified by that office of a decision or if any further information or action is needed from you. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

What's this all about i wanna know..

I have no idea..

can this cause further delay?.

Where can I see this notice to submit the requested material.?

I just renewed my passport because the one i sent was, already expired. Now I think they need my new passport?

It is a request for evidence.

You wait and get a letter in the mail that tells you what they want.

It delays your case 2-3 weeks or longer depending how long it takes you to send them back what they want.

They do not need your new passport right now, that would be at the interview. Something is wrong with your forms or your evidence you included.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thanks!

But what do they normally want??:-(

They want whatever they ask for. It can be anything. No one can tell you what they " normally want " because it is different for everyone. You just have to wait for the notice and read what it says they want.

I was happy after receiving a request for evidence after reading all of the discussion about them on this site. You should too! It means absolutely nothing negative, but it does mean that after you respond to it (and if you answer all of their questions), then your approval will happen in two to three weeks. Congratulations are in order for you!

Thanks guys for staying positive.

At least im able to breathe now..

Is it really true, There are possibilities that our case might be, delayed 3-4 months,?

before getting the noa2?

Keep calm. The sooner you respond to the RFE, the sooner you'll get approved :)
