Hello,

I am US citizen who married a south african citizen. We have started the paperwork for her immigrant visa. But im very much nervous about the interview.

Would like to hear your experience of the interview in johannesburg. Are they easy going or strict?

I think all the embassies look for the same thing, however how they treat people might differ. The Johannesburg reviews on VJ have all been positive. So as long as you are honest and have all your stuff, I doubt there will be a problem.

Thanx. One thing i wanted to ask was..what else can be used as proof of marriage other than pictures? Because we dont have much of emails etc due to the fact that ive been living with my wife since we got married.

Marriage certificate. Documents showing her change of name.I'd suggest a signed affidavit from the priest/pastor who performed the marriage or marriage counselor who knows you are legally married. There are many things seeing as though marriage has a bigger paper trail than an engagement
